We provide services to students, law schools,
law firms and judges, specializing in judicial clerkship and skills
seminars as well as informational resources.
Debra Strauss is the national expert in judicial
clerkships. A graduate of Yale Law School with a degree in psychology
from Cornell University, Debra Strauss has more than a dozen years
of experience as a Federal law clerk for two clerkship terms (former
Chief Judge, Southern District of New York); in private practice
at a prominent New York law firm; and as Director of Judicial
Clerkship Counseling and Programs at Yale
Law School. She established the judicial clerkship program there,
which resulted in a record number of Yale students obtaining clerkships.

She then served as Project Director of the National
Judicial Clerkship Study, on behalf of the National Association
for Law Placement and the American Bar Association, and authored
the report on the study, published as Courting the Clerkship:
Perspectives on the Opportunities and Obstacles for Judicial Clerkships
(National Association for Law Placement, Oct. 2000). She is the
author of numerous articles on diversity issues and the courts,
as well as the definitive book in this area --Behind
the Bench: The Guide to Judicial Clerkships.

In addition, as adjunct professor and director, she developed
the Federal Judicial Extern Honors Program at Pace University
School of Law.
Debra Strauss is a professor of business law at Fairfield University
Charles F. Dolan School of Business, where she teaches courses
in the legal environment of business, international law, and law
and ethics.
