I am halfway through a two-year district court clerkship and am interested in a circuit clerkship for the 2007 term. Do any current circuit clerks, who may have clerked for a district judge, or who may have some insight into the hiring process, have any advice they could share?

If you're not sure for whom you wish to clerk, or don't have any strong preferences, ask your judge for advice. He or she may have suggestions and connections that will help you in the application process and in finding a good match.
